Legian and Seminyak, just to the north of Kuta, offer a never-ending variety of Legian Bali hotels and resorts, Bali villas in Seminyak and Seminyak hotels, shops, restaurants and numerous nightspots. Its main road, Jalan Legian, continues towards Seminyak and changes its name to Jalan Raya Seminyak. This area is continuously growing and one can hardly keep track of all the newest shops, designer boutiques and other "life-style" stores. Whilst Legian comprises a wide selection of hotels and resorts along the beach as well as on both sides of Jalan Legian, Seminyak is the place where one can find several exciting and interesting locations for nightlife and dining. The first one is Jalan Double Six, with what is probably Bali`s most well-known nightclub, Double Six. There are several smaller restaurants and shops along this road, which ends at the famous Legian or Blue Ocean Beach. More restaurants and clubs are found along the beach. Great place to have breakfast, staying for lunch, enjoying the sunset and then start partying. Further up north, one reaches Jalan Dyana Pura with its myriad of bars, clubs and eateries. To make sure you are up-to-date with all the latest happenings, try to get a copy of The Beat, the bi-monthly magazine of what`s going on in Bali. As the "scene" starts quite late, it would be a good idea to have dinner before venturing out. Finally, another "must see" location, Jalan Laksmana, also known as Jalan Oberoi or "Eat Street". Here you can indulge in cuisines from around the world, such as Italian, Greek, Asian Fusion and International, to name just a few. Along the beach are well-known resorts, such as The Legian. Nearby is the landmark Petitenget Temple with adjacent car parking facilities. This is where we drew the line between Seminyak and Kerobokan areas. Kerobokan, which just a few years ago was mostly rice paddies and tranquil countryside, has evolved to offer countless private villas, furniture shops and lots of other interesting businesses.
